Have No Fear - Nov 13, 2011

I think fear comes from our own insecurities. We are often afraid to do something because we fear wewill be judged

by others.

Or,

sometimes we are afraid because we lack the confidence, we don't believe

that we could actually pull it off.

Or, how about being

afraid

of the unknown - just afraid to step out because we don't know what

lies behind

the door. I know from experience that if

you

choose to

go through a door that God has not

intended for you to go through, life can become very scary. We need to take

the time

to listen and

hear

God speak to our hearts before we enter a door, but more importantly, we need to let go of our fear

and put

our

trust in God.

It is so much easier to just stay put then it is to walk through a door that has

something

on the other side

that is

completely foreign to us.

But how do you do it? How do you let go of the fear of

going through that door.

First of all, if God has put

something in your heart, and

it keeps coming back to you in one form or another,

He is telling you its time for a change, or that He

has

something special lined up for

you. He has given each of us certain gifts and talents that He wants us to

use to offer His

goodness to others.

The beauty of this is that

when you tap into it and figure out how to get through the door, once you are there not

only are you fulfilling God's

purpose for you, you

will feel joy, happiness and a feeling of satisfaction and wholeness will embody you.

So, when you are t

rying to find the courage to try something new, and you get this feeling in the pit of your stomach that it is what

God wants you to do,

all you have to do is put your trust in God, think about how you will become a disciple of God by fulfilling his

purpose and then take that leap of faith through the door and into the world God wants you to be a part of. All you have to do is

be you, the very best of you, that's all God wants. Enjoy the journey and before you know it, you will be living your dream.
